The 7th Street Chojnackis

The recipe came from Frannie Nye, the mother of an old bbeau of Mary Walz's.

Heat until thin:

• 1/2  3/4 c. honey
• 1/2 c. oil
• 1 tbsp. vanilla

Stir in:

• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 c. sesame seed 
• 1 c. soy grits, corn meal, or TVP
• 1 c. wheat germ

Stir mixture into

Ingredients

 1c sugar

2 eggs

1/4 c milk

1t vanilla

1c chopped nuts

 1.75c flour

0.5c oil

dash of salt

1t soda

2 mached bananas (good if frozen, then thawed)

This is a collaborative effort to collect family recipes.

My idea is primarily to collect those recipes that we remember from our childhood days at 7th street, things like paczki, kielbasa, vinegar cake, sanbakel and the like.

Secondarily, we can share favorite recipes we've discovered over the years. I think we can feel free to ask for recipes of favorites from sibling weekends and other gatherings.
