To add a recipe, you'll add a book page. Here's how.

1. From the left menu, select "Content" You'll then be able to click on "Create Content." Select "Book Page"
   You'll now see the "Submit Book page"
2. Fill in the Tltle.
3. Select the Parent from the dropdown list. Your entry will be nested inside that parent in the table of contents.
4. Use the Body window for your recipe. There are a few formatting options at the top of that window (e.g. bold and italic type)
5. You can ignore most of the remaining items, except Publishing options; click on that to expand the list, and make sure "Published" is checked and "Promoted to front page" is unchecked.
6. Use the two bottom buttons, "Preview" and "Submit," to see how your page will look, and publish it, respectively.
